e are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our outpatient clinic team. In this vital role, you will support physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care. You’ll play a key part in managing both administrative and clinical duties to ensure smooth daily operations and an excellent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and current medications.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform routine lab tests, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and handle patient inquiries.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in EMR systems and basic computer use.
