Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Machine Learning Intern to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building, testing, and deploying machine learning models for diverse projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and product managers to gather requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Perform data wrangling, cleaning, and preprocessing to prepare datasets for modeling.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Optimize model performance through hyperparameter tuning and algorithm selection.
• Contribute to the creation of detailed documentation and presentations related to project work.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in machine learning and AI technologies.
• Participate in regular team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, and neural networks.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (preferred) or R, along with experience using libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Familiarity with data manipulation tools such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Experience

• Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in machine learning or data science is preferred.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is an added advantage.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus.

Working Hours

• Flexible remote work schedule with an expectation of 15-20 hours per week, adjustable based on academic commitments and project requirements.
