Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure company-wide compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO regulations.

  • Conduct regular audits of HR policies, employee records, and internal processes to identify potential compliance risks.

  • Develop and update policies and procedures to align with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with HR teams to provide guidance on compliance-related issues, including workplace investigations, employee relations matters, and policy enforcement.

  • Assist in responding to government audits, inquiries, and compliance-related legal matters.

  • Deliver training programs to HR teams and managers on compliance best practices and regulatory updates.

  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring United Airlines remains compliant across all jurisdictions.

  • Maintain detailed documentation and prepare reports on compliance activities, findings, and corrective actions.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance regulations.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to interpret legal and regulatory documents and apply them to HR policies and practices.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear guidance to HR teams and management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a remote environment.

  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.


Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in HR compliance, employment law, or a related HR function.

  • Prior experience in a corporate or multinational environment preferred.

  • Experience working with HR audits, investigations, and risk assessments is a plus.


Working Hours

  • Standard business hours, Monday to Friday.

  • Flexibility may be required based on business needs, including occasional meetings in different time zones.
