We are hiring a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) for the Critical Care Unit (CCU) in a leading hospital. This role is ideal for qualified MBBS doctors who are passionate about critical care, emergency response, and patient management. As an RMO, you will work closely with senior consultants, intensivists, and nursing staff to ensure timely and efficient medical care for critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide round-the-clock medical support to patients in the Critical Care Unit (CCU).
- Assist in monitoring and managing critically ill patients, including those on ventilators and life-support systems.
- Respond to medical emergencies and implement immediate interventions.
- Conduct clinical assessments, diagnose conditions, and initiate treatment plans under the guidance of specialists.
- Perform routine medical procedures, including IV insertions, intubations, catheterization, and resuscitation when necessary.
- Collaborate with ICU consultants, anesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient progress, medical history, and treatment outcomes.
- Communicate with patients families regarding prognosis, treatment plans, and updates.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and healthcare compliance standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical registration/license (DHA/MOH/HAAD for UAE positions, MCI for India, GMC for UK, etc.).
- 1-3 years of experience in a hospital setting (Critical Care/ICU/ER experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of critical care procedures, emergency medicine, and patient management.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with consultants, nursing staff, and patient families.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in ICU, CCU, Emergency Medicine, or Anesthesiology.
- Training in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Familiarity with ventilator management, intubation, and emergency resuscitation procedures.
Work Environment
- On-site role in a hospital Critical Care Unit (CCU).
- Shift-based work schedules (including night shifts and weekends).
- Work closely with consultants, intensivists, and specialized medical teams.
