Job Summary
Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in India. This position involves providing excellent technical support to our clients, resolving IT-related issues, and ensuring seamless system functionality. Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently via phone, email, or remote tools.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality of IT infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware systems.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex IT problems.
- Assist in maintaining documentation of IT issues, solutions, and support logs.
- Educate users on best practices for technology usage and cybersecurity measures.
- Manage and prioritize multiple client requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior-level IT specialists or relevant teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting software, hardware, and network problems.
- Familiarity with remote desktop tools, ticketing systems, and IT support platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer-service orientation and a problem-solving mindset.
- Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, or ITIL is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum: 2+ years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or related technical roles.
- Preferred: Experience supporting remote teams and multinational clients.
Working Hours
- Flexible working hours with occasional requirement for weekend or on-call support.
- Availability during India Standard Time (IST) business hours is preferred.
