Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a talented Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team of professionals dedicated to safeguarding digital assets. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect security breaches and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures.
• Respond to security incidents promptly, mitigating risks and preventing future occurrences.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and protocols in alignment with industry best practices.
• Perform security audits and compliance reviews to meet regulatory standards.
• Research emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive measures to strengthen security defenses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security systems.
• Generate detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and overall system health for stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT security roles (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Proficiency in tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with encryption, authentication protocols, and network architecture.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote environment.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT roles.
• Hands-on experience in threat analysis, risk assessment, and incident response.

Working Hours

• Flexible working hours with core availability between 9 AM � 6 PM IST.
• Occasional on-call responsibilities for handling security incidents outside standard hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• In-depth understanding of cyber threat landscapes and attack vectors.
• Ability to interpret and analyze technical data, including logs and security alerts.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation purposes.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
