Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and emails related to insurance inquiries, providing clear and accurate information.
- Assist customers in understanding their insurance policies, coverage details, and available options.
- Process insurance claims, ensuring accurate data entry and following up on claim status.
- Address customer concerns and complaints, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions in the system.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure the efficient delivery of customer support services.
- Stay updated on insurance policies, procedures, and industry trends to provide informed guidance to customers.
- Meet and exceed performance targets, including customer satisfaction scores and response times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or degree in insurance, business, or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in processing customer requests.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and stay motivated with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using customer support software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of insurance terminology and processes is an advantage.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry, is highly desirable.
- Experience handling inbound calls, processing claims, and resolving customer issues is a plus.
- Remote work experience is an advantage, with a proven ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
Working Hours
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Working hours are flexible, with shifts available between 8 AM to 8 PM (USA Eastern Standard Time), Monday through Friday.
- Occasional weekends or holiday shifts may be required based on business needs.
