Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a passionate, customer-focused Virtual Travel Agent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide excellent travel booking and support services to clients across the United States. Working remotely, you will assist in planning and organizing travel itineraries, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring a seamless travel experience. Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in planning and booking travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and tours.
• Provide tailored travel recommendations based on customer preferences, budgets, and destination options.
• Address customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat, providing accurate information about travel packages, destinations, and services.
• Handle all customer service issues related to bookings, including cancellations, modifications, and refunds.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, travel regulations, and promotions to offer the best advice to customers.
• Collaborate with suppliers and partners to secure competitive prices and exclusive deals for customers.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and bookings in the companys CRM system.
• Promote travel packages and services in a way that aligns with customer needs and company objectives.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by exceeding client expectations and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service or travel industry (preferred but not required).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
• Proficiency with travel booking systems (GDS experience is a plus, but training will be provided).
• Tech-savvy with experience using computers, CRM systems, and online communication platforms.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.

Experience

• Prior experience in a customer service role, travel agency, or sales environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with the travel industry and different travel options, including hotels, airlines, and car rental services.
• Previous work experience in a remote or virtual role is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with flexible working hours.
• Ability to work across different time zones, as required by clients, including weekends or evenings.
• Occasional overtime based on business needs.

• In-depth knowledge of travel destinations, itineraries, and the travel booking process.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients.
• Highly organized with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive experience for each client.
• Problem-solving skills to effectively address customer concerns and find solutions.
