Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a skilled and motivated Website Developer to join our dynamic team on a work-from-home basis. As a Website Developer, you will be responsible for crafting responsive, functional websites that meet both our clients needs and the highest industry standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications from concept to deployment.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and implement solutions.
• Ensure the websites are responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for different browsers and devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues related to functionality, performance, and security.
• Integrate APIs and third-party services into websites to enhance functionality.
• Stay updated with the latest web development trends, techniques, and technologies.
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other team members to ensure cohesive website development.
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through proper documentation and version control (Git).
• Optimize website performance by improving load times, reducing downtime, and optimizing code.
• Assist in website testing, debugging, and overall performance analysis.
• Provide technical support and maintenance for existing websites.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Website Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing web development projects.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of web development best practices, including responsive design, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with back-end development using PHP, Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
• Knowledge of web hosting, cloud services (AWS, Azure), and version control systems (Git).
• Familiarity with database management (MySQL, MongoDB) and integrating web applications with databases.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience:

• 2+ years of proven experience in web development.
• Experience with full-stack development or front-end development is preferred.
• Previous experience working remotely is a plus.

Working Hours:

• Flexible working hours with an expectation of 40 hours per week.
• Ability to manage deadlines and deliverables autonomously while working from home.
• Occasional meetings during core business hours may be required.
