Job Summary:

As an Area Manager for Amazon Fresh at our Fulfillment Center, you will oversee and manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and a seamless experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Supervise and manage day-to-day fulfillment center operations for Amazon Fresh, ensuring high productivity levels while meeting safety, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and motivate a team of associates and managers to achieve performance goals, improve work practices, and maintain a positive work culture.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions that increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure Amazon Fresh orders are fulfilled on time and meet quality standards, enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Monitoring: Use data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance and take proactive actions to address challenges.
  • Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and development for team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills required for their roles.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures in all aspects of fulfillment operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced, operations-focused environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, senior leadership, and customers.
  • Experience with inventory management, logistics, and fulfillment center operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in operations, logistics, fulfillment, or a related field.
  • Experience in managing large teams in a high-volume environment is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in an Amazon Fresh or e-commerce environment is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement, operational efficiency, and team development.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on operational needs.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of fulfillment center operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and tasks.
  • Ability to utilize operational data and tools to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
  • Sound understanding of safety protocols and quality standards in a fulfillment environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in operational demands or customer expectations.
