Job Summary:

Scalesforth is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for delivering a welcoming and efficient service, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience, and maintaining the front office operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing outstanding customer service and will thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying reservations, issuing room keys, and providing information about hotel services and amenities.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to guest inquiries, and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest information, reservations, and requests.
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments for services rendered.
  • Coordinate guest requests with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including handling mail, filing, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Ensure the front office is clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Comply with hotel policies and procedures regarding guest privacy and confidentiality.
  • Support and collaborate with other front office team members to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and assist guests effectively.
  • Proficient in using hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and billing.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a front desk, customer service, or hospitality role is highly desirable.
  • Experience handling cash transactions and using point-of-sale systems is a plus.
  • Experience in managing guest complaints and resolving issues efficiently.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position.
  • Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate hotel operating hours.
