Job Summary

Scalesforth is seeking a diligent and reliable Warehouse Person (Loader) to join our team. As a Warehouse Person, you will be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of goods, ensuring accurate stock management, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Organize and store products in the correct locations within the warehouse, maintaining an efficient stock system.
• Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies to management.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery as needed (training provided).
• Assist with packing, labeling, and preparing goods for shipment.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of goods received, stored, and dispatched.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or loading role is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) safely.
• Basic math skills for inventory and stock management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward work.

Experience

• Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is desirable, but not mandatory for the right candidate.
• Forklift certification or the willingness to complete forklift training is a plus.
• Experience in stock management or inventory control will be considered an advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-Time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
• Part-Time: Flexible hours, typically ranging from 20-30 hours per week. Weekend availability may be required.
