Job Summary
The Elite Job is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Telehealth Medical Assistant to join our innovative and expanding healthcare team. In this remote role, the Telehealth Medical Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting healthcare providers and patients through virtual care services. You will assist in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks that contribute to delivering top-notch healthcare via telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Conduct initial patient screenings and gather relevant health information via telehealth platforms to prepare patients for virtual consultations with healthcare providers.
- Medical History Documentation: Accurately document patient medical histories, current medications, and symptoms in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Virtual Health Support: Assist healthcare providers during telehealth appointments by managing virtual care tools, ensuring that patient records are up to date, and relaying important patient information.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule follow-up appointments, manage patient appointments, and provide reminders to ensure timely and efficient care.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with information about their health conditions, treatments, and follow-up care instructions, as guided by healthcare providers.
- Administrative Support: Handle various administrative duties including data entry, updating patient records, and managing correspondence with patients.
- HIPAA Compliance: Ensure that all patient information is handled with the utmost confidentiality and in full compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Medical Assisting, Health Administration, or related field preferred.
- Certification: Medical Assistant (MA) certification preferred but not required.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and other healthcare technology tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff.
- Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately record and manage patient information.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, even in a remote environment.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with change and able to quickly adapt to new processes, technologies, and patient needs.
Experience
- Prior Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, clinical, or telehealth setting preferred, but not required.
- Telehealth Experience: Previous experience with telehealth platforms or virtual patient care is highly desirable.
- Customer Service: Experience in a customer-facing role, particularly in healthcare, will be beneficial.
Working Hours
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Typical working hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (local time).
- Occasional evening or weekend shifts may be required based on patient needs or business requirements.

- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of telehealth tools and platforms, as well as familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
