Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Lead – Operations & Safety Supervision to oversee daily warehouse activities while ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and a strong culture of safety. This role is critical in coordinating warehouse teams, optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enforcing health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong operational mindset, capable of driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse associates to achieve daily operational targets and service levels.

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including receiving, picking, packing, staging, and shipping activities.

  • Enforce warehouse safety policies, conduct regular safety audits, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.

  • Monitor productivity, quality, and accuracy metrics; implement corrective actions when required.

  • Train, coach, and develop team members on operational procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.

  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment, tools, and material handling systems.

  • Collaborate with operations, inventory control, and logistics teams to resolve issues and improve workflow efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and inventory records within warehouse management systems (WMS).

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, and process optimization projects.

  • Act as the first point of escalation for operational or safety-related issues during assigned shifts.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead by example.

  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.

  • In-depth knowledge of workplace safety standards, hazard identification, and incident prevention.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications (MS Office).

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet operational deadlines.


Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations.

  • At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role within a warehouse or logistics environment.

  • Prior experience in safety supervision, audits, or compliance management is strongly preferred.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Flexible shifts may be required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or rotating shifts based on operational needs.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of inventory control practices, material handling, and shipping/receiving processes.

  • Ability to analyze operational data and generate actionable insights.

  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

  • Physical ability to work in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, and lifting as required.
