Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Logistics & Supply Chain Data Analyst to join our growing remote workforce. In this role, you will play a critical part in transforming complex logistics and supply chain data into actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.
Analyze logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics related to inventory, transportation, procurement, and fulfillment.
Support demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and network planning initiatives using data-driven methodologies.
Collaborate with supply chain, operations, procurement, and finance teams to provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTIF, lead time, inventory turnover, and logistics costs.
Perform root cause analysis and provide clear, actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems and data sources.
Automate recurring reports and analytical processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Solid understanding of logistics, supply chain operations, and end-to-end process flows.
Experience working with large datasets and translating data into business insights.
Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in a data analyst role within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
Experience supporting global or multi-site supply chain operations is highly desirable.
Exposure to ERP systems and supply chain planning tools is an advantage.
