Progressive Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Insurance Claims Adjuster specializing in Property & Casualty to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage, evaluate, and resolve insurance claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of property and casualty insurance, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a remote environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and evaluate property and casualty insurance claims to determine coverage and liability.

  • Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, and third-party service providers to gather necessary information.

  • Review and analyze claim documentation, including photos, reports, and statements, to determine appropriate settlement amounts.

  • Negotiate settlements with claimants in a fair, timely, and professional manner.

  • Ensure claims are processed according to company policies, state regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic claim files and documentation.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting, legal, and customer service, to facilitate claim resolution.

  • Identify potential fraud or suspicious activity and escalate appropriately.

  • Provide regular updates to management on claim status, trends, and potential issues.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property and casualty claims adjusting or a related insurance field.

  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking.

  • Proficiency in claims management software and MS Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.

  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.


Experience

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience as an insurance claims adjuster, preferably in property & casualty.

  • Prior remote work experience is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Experience handling complex claims and large settlements preferred.


Working Hours

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, with standard business hours.

  • Flexibility to handle urgent claims outside regular hours may be required.

  • Remote work setup; must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office environment.
