Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Clinical Medical Assistant with BLS/CPR certification to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to physicians and nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a professional and compassionate environment. This role combines clinical responsibilities, administrative duties, and patient interaction to optimize operational efficiency and enhance the patient experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.

  • Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information.

  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, wound care, and basic laboratory tests.

  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures and exams.

  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas.

  • Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems.

  • Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.

  • Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.

  • Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and safety guidelines.

  • Assist in emergency situations, demonstrating proficiency in BLS/CPR procedures.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.

  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care standards.

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic office software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.


Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant in a healthcare or medical office setting.

  • Previous experience handling EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation is highly preferred.


Working Hours

  • Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Some flexibility required for occasional evening shifts or emergencies.
