United Healthcare is seeking compassionate and motivated Nursing Students to join our care teams as Weekend Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). This role is ideal for students currently pursuing a nursing degree who are looking to gain hands-on clinical experience while working flexible weekend shifts. As a Weekend CNA, you will support licensed nurses in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across our healthcare facilities while balancing your academic commitments.
Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff
Support nurses with basic clinical tasks and patient care procedures
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times
Maintain clean and organized patient rooms and care areas
Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights
Follow infection control protocols and healthcare safety standards
Document care activities accurately and in a timely manner
Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN preferred)
Active CNA certification or eligibility as per state regulations
Basic understanding of patient care principles and medical terminology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Prior clinical or healthcare experience is preferred but not required
Nursing students with completed foundational clinical coursework are encouraged to apply
On-the-job orientation and training will be provided
Weekend shifts only (Saturday and Sunday)
Day, evening, and overnight shifts available depending on facility needs
