Progressive Technology is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Junior Helpdesk Support Technician to join our IT team. This fully remote position provides first-level technical support to our internal teams and clients, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems, quick resolution of technical issues, and excellent user experience. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and passionate about technology, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues via email, chat, or phone.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
Log, track, and manage support tickets using helpdesk software.
Assist with user account management, including access permissions, password resets, and software installations.
Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when necessary.
Maintain IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and technical procedures.
Monitor and report recurring issues to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide guidance and training to users on basic IT systems and best practices.
Basic knowledge of Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common productivity software.
Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPN, TCP/IP).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Customer-focused mindset with patience and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple tasks.
0–2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a related field.
Internship or academic projects in IT support are considered valuable experience.
Full-time, Monday to Friday.
Flexible remote working hours; occasional on-call support may be required.
