Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a Remote Pharmacy Technician Care Advocate to join our growing healthcare support team. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, providers, and pharmacists to resolve medication-related inquiries.

  • Review, verify, and process prescription requests accurately in compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.

  • Assist patients with understanding their medication plans, refill processes, and insurance coverage details.

  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to obtain prior authorizations and ensure timely prescription fulfillment.

  • Manage patient profiles, update electronic health records (EHR), and maintain confidentiality in all communications.

  • Proactively reach out to patients for medication adherence checks, refills, and follow-up support.

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls with empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the overall patient care experience.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or equivalent state licensure is required.

  • Proven experience in a pharmacy, managed care, or healthcare call center environment.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, prescription processing, and medication insurance coverage.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.

  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office tools.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain high accuracy under minimal supervision.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.


Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a clinical or remote support setting.

  • Experience in patient counseling, insurance claims, or pharmacy benefits management is highly desirable.


Working Hours

  • Flexible remote schedule with full-time and part-time options available.

  • Typical shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (based on time zone).

  • Occasional weekend or holiday coverage may be required depending on patient volume.
