Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Financial Analyst with exceptional skills in advanced Excel and budget forecasting. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in financial planning, analysis, and decision support for clients and internal teams. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and forecasts to guide strategic decision-making.

• Develop and maintain complex financial models and advanced Excel dashboards.

• Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual financial results.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights for business units.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and business initiatives.

• Evaluate cost structures, identify areas for efficiency improvement, and recommend corrective actions.

• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, macros, formulas, and VBA).

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling techniques.

• Familiarity with financial reporting tools and software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data management.

• Effective communication and presentation skills for conveying financial insights.

Experience

• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar financial planning role.

• Proven track record in budget preparation, financial analysis, and forecasting.

• Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time remote role.

• Flexible working hours, with a standard expectation of 40 hours per week.

• Occasional collaboration across time zones may be required.
