Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our UK Warehouse Operations team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth logistics workflows, efficient inventory management, and timely coordination of domestic and international shipments. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse logistics, supply chain coordination, and a passion for operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily coordination of inbound and outbound shipments within the warehouse network.

• Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper documentation for all goods movements.

• Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and customers to schedule deliveries and resolve logistics issues.

• Monitor and optimize transportation costs and warehouse operations efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with UK import/export regulations, health, and safety standards.

• Track shipment statuses and communicate proactively with stakeholders on delivery timelines.

• Prepare logistics reports, analyze performance metrics, and recommend improvements.

• Collaborate closely with warehouse supervisors, procurement, and customer service teams.

• Support logistics projects focused on automation, route optimization, and sustainability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of logistics coordination, shipping documentation, and inventory systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and warehouse management software (WMS).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of UK and international transport regulations is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse coordination, or supply chain operations.

• Prior experience in a fast-paced warehouse or 3PL environment is an asset.

• Candidates with exposure to import/export or freight forwarding will have an advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time position based in the UK.

• Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

• Occasional weekend or evening work may be required during peak operations periods.
