Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our UK Warehouse Operations team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth logistics workflows, efficient inventory management, and timely coordination of domestic and international shipments. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily coordination of inbound and outbound shipments within the warehouse network.

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper documentation for all goods movements.

  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and customers to schedule deliveries and resolve logistics issues.

  • Monitor and optimize transportation costs and warehouse operations efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with UK import/export regulations, health, and safety standards.

  • Track shipment statuses and communicate proactively with stakeholders on delivery timelines.

  • Prepare logistics reports, analyze performance metrics, and recommend improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and warehouse management software (WMS).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of UK and international transport regulations is preferred.


Experience

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse coordination, or supply chain operations.

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced warehouse or 3PL environment is an asset.

  • Candidates with exposure to import/export or freight forwarding will have an advantage.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position based in the UK.

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

  • Occasional weekend or evening work may be required during peak operations periods.
