Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Scheduler to join our project planning team. This role is critical in ensuring construction projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with client expectations. The Construction Scheduler will develop, monitor, and update project schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and identify potential delays or risks to project timelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, project management tools, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update construction project schedules using scheduling software.

  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors to collect and validate schedule data.

  • Monitor project progress, identify scheduling conflicts, and propose corrective actions.

  • Prepare detailed reports and forecasts on project timelines and milestones.

  • Ensure alignment of schedules with project budgets, resources, and client requirements.

  • Track changes, delays, or risks, and communicate their impact to stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular schedule reviews and progress meetings.

  • Support project planning and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and contractual requirements.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and industry best practices.


Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction scheduling, project planning, or project control roles.

  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or residential construction projects is preferred.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position, typically 40–45 hours per week.

  • Flexibility may be required to meet project deadlines, including occasional evenings or weekends.
