Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking detail-oriented, dependable, and fast-typing Freelance Academic Typing Specialists to assist in converting handwritten or scanned academic materials into professionally typed digital documents. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong command of English, a flair for academic formatting, and a passion for accuracy. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately type handwritten academic notes, assignments, and lecture materials into digital format (MS Word or Google Docs).

  • Follow strict formatting and referencing guidelines as per academic standards (APA, MLA, etc., if specified).

  • Ensure proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation while transcribing.

  • Handle confidential academic content with discretion.

  • Deliver high-quality, proofread documents within given deadlines.

  • Communicate proactively with the team for clarifications or document-specific formatting requirements.

  • Revise documents based on client feedback.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent typing speed (minimum 50 WPM) with a high level of accuracy.

  • Strong command of written English, grammar, and punctuation.

  • Proficiency in MS Word and Google Docs.

  • Familiarity with academic content (lectures, notes, assignments, research summaries, etc.).

  • Keen eye for detail and ability to format according to instructions.

Experience
