Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and language-passionate Freelance Spanish to English Translator to join our remote team. Key Responsibilities

• Translate written documents from Spanish to English while preserving the original meaning and tone.

• Review and proofread final translations for accuracy, grammar, and cultural relevance.

• Collaborate with project managers and editors to ensure timely delivery of assignments.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.

• Adapt content for the target audience without losing contextual clarity.

• Use translation tools and glossaries to maintain consistency in terminology and style.

• Respond to feedback and make necessary revisions promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Fluency in both Spanish and English, with native or near-native command of English.

• Proven ability to translate a variety of content types (business, legal, medical, etc.).

• Strong attention to detail and excellent grammatical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency with CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of professional translation experience (freelance or in-house).
