Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking passionate and skilled Freelance Coding Tutors to provide engaging, interactive, and comprehensive online coding classes to children. This role focuses on nurturing young learners interest in technology and programming through fun, age-appropriate lessons. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, with a passion for teaching and inspiring kids aged 6 to 14 years. This is a remote freelance opportunity exclusively for candidates residing in Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct live, interactive online coding classes for children using various programming languages and tools suitable for beginners (e.g., Scratch, Python, Blockly).

• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to the cognitive level and interests of children.

• Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents.

• Maintain a positive, encouraging learning environment that fosters creativity and problem-solving skills.

• Stay updated with the latest educational technologies and coding trends for kids.

• Communicate effectively with parents and Houston Skilled Consultancy to ensure high-quality delivery and address any concerns.

• Manage multiple classes, schedules, and student groups efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Scratch, JavaScript, or other beginner-friendly languages.

• Prior experience or strong interest in teaching kids, especially in an online setting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to simplify complex coding concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand lessons.

• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children.

• Familiarity with digital teaching tools and platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or similar).

• Bangalore residency is mandatory due to coordination and occasional in-person events.

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of coding or programming experience.

• Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience in coding or STEM subjects is highly preferred.

• Experience working with children, either professionally or through volunteering, is an advantage.

Working Hours
