We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Systems Support Specialist to join the Princess Cruises Tech Services team at Houston Skilled Consultancy. As an integral part of our IT support team, you will provide technical assistance, maintenance, and support for all IT systems and applications used across Princess Cruises operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT systems, network infrastructures, and customer service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across various platforms.
Provide front-line technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, both remote and on-site, to resolve IT issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
Maintain and monitor IT systems to ensure their optimal functionality and security, including servers, workstations, and cloud-based platforms.
Assist with the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including system upgrades, patches, and updates.
Coordinate and assist with system integration tasks, testing, and troubleshooting new technologies and software.
Ensure data security and implement disaster recovery procedures as necessary.
Collaborate with the Princess Cruises Tech Services team and external vendors to address technical challenges and escalate critical issues when required.
Document technical processes, create user guides, and provide training to staff and users on new systems and technologies.
Support remote and on-site troubleshooting for a variety of systems across multiple environments.
Assist in system configurations and user account management, including system access permissions and security protocols.
Respond promptly to service desk tickets, ensuring high levels of customer service and efficient resolution of issues.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical support role.
Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems, as well as networking protocols.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based applications, and remote support tools.
Knowledge of system monitoring tools and IT ticketing systems.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
2+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
Experience with remote IT support and troubleshooting for a large user base.
Hands-on experience with system maintenance, network security, and managing IT infrastructure.
Familiarity with IT support tools, ticketing systems, and remote desktop management.
Full-time position.
Regular working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (with flexibility for emergency support outside these hours as required).
Occasional weekend or after-hours support may be required to ensure continuous system operations.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of IT hardware, software, and network troubleshooting techniques.
Customer Service Orientation: Ability to provide excellent user support and communicate complex technical information in an easily understandable manner.
