Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Online Computer Course Instructor to join our dynamic e-learning team. In this remote, flexible role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical computer training sessions to students of varying skill levels. You will play a crucial role in empowering learners with real-world computer literacy, software proficiency, and digital skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver comprehensive online computer courses (Microsoft Office, Basic IT Skills, Internet Applications, etc.)

• Create engaging video lessons, presentations, assignments, and quizzes

• Provide live virtual training sessions and doubt-clearing webinars

• Track student progress and provide constructive feedback

• Stay updated with new software and tools to keep course content current

• Support students via email, discussion forums, and one-on-one sessions as needed

• Collaborate with the content development team to improve course quality

• Maintain records of attendance and performance for reporting purposes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field

• Proven experience in teaching or training computer-related subjects

• Strong command over commonly used computer applications (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical learners

• Self-motivated, organized, and committed to learner success

Experience:

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in online teaching, corporate training, or academic instruction in the IT domain

• Experience creating e-learning content or using LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Google Classroom, Teachable) is preferred

Working Hours:

• Flexible schedule based on your availability

• Minimum of 10–15 hours per week (can increase based on course demand and performance)

• Must be available for occasional live sessions on weekends or evenings if needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Expertise in digital literacy and basic to intermediate computer software

• Familiarity with screen recording and online video editing tools

• Empathy and patience in teaching a diverse student base (working professionals, homemakers, students)

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
