Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a talented and creative Video Editor specializing in YouTube videos, Instagram Reels, and short-form video content. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for storytelling through visuals, a keen eye for detail, and an understanding of what makes content go viral in todays fast-paced digital landscape. As a Video Editor, you will play a critical role in enhancing our digital presence and helping our content stand out across social platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and produce high-quality, engaging videos for YouTube, Instagram Reels, and other short-form content platforms.

• Work closely with content creators, marketing teams, and creative leads to deliver on-brand video content.

• Add music, voice-overs, graphics, subtitles, and animations as needed.

• Adapt content for various platforms with different aspect ratios and styles (9:16, 16:9, 1:1).

• Stay updated on the latest trends in digital video editing and incorporate best practices into projects.

• Ensure all videos align with the brand voice and visual aesthetics.

• Manage project timelines and deliver content under tight deadlines without compromising on quality.

• Organize and maintain a library of edited content and source files.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.

• Strong understanding of pacing, transitions, visual storytelling, and sound design.

• Familiarity with YouTube SEO, thumbnails, titles, and trends.

• Experience in motion graphics and animation is a plus (After Effects preferred).

• Ability to multitask, take feedback constructively, and revise content quickly.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Strong portfolio of short-form and social media content is a must.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in video editing for social media or digital platforms.

• Prior experience with YouTube and Instagram content is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with flexible working hours, primarily between 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.

• Hybrid work options available based on performance and project requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep understanding of social media algorithms, audience engagement strategies, and platform-specific editing styles.

• Ability to tell compelling stories within short durations (30s to 5min).

• Strong sense of rhythm and editing that resonates with Gen Z and Millennial viewers.

• Adept at balancing creativity with marketing goals.
