Job Summary:Progressive Technology is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Online English Tutor to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. As an Online English Tutor, you will be responsible for providing engaging and effective English lessons to students of various skill levels. You will work with students to improve their speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills, helping them achieve their language learning goals. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one or group English lessons via video conferencing platforms.

• Assess students English proficiency levels and create personalized lesson plans to meet their specific needs.

• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.

• Engage students in interactive learning activities to promote speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills.

• Monitor and track student progress and provide regular updates on their performance.

• Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment to motivate students.

• Collaborate with the team to enhance learning materials and teaching strategies.

• Stay updated with best practices in language teaching and incorporate them into lessons.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Native or near-native proficiency in English (written and spoken).

• A Bachelors degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (preferred but not required).

• TESOL/TEFL certification or equivalent (preferred).

• Experience in teaching English as a second language (ESL) or tutoring.

• Proficiency in using online teaching tools and platforms (Zoom, Skype, etc.).

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly.

• Patience, creativity, and adaptability in teaching diverse learners.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Experience:

• Prior experience in teaching or tutoring English, especially in an online environment, is preferred.

• Experience with students from different cultural backgrounds is a plus.

• Familiarity with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) or other language proficiency frameworks is an advantage.

Working Hours:

• This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours.

• You will have the freedom to set your availability based on your schedule.

• A minimum of 10-15 hours per week, with the potential for more hours based on student demand.
