Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our growing remote team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for supporting various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR policy implementation. This is a full-time, remote position offering the flexibility to work from home while being an integral part of a forward-thinking, people-first organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the full recruitment cycle: job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers.

  • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Coordinate performance management processes and assist with performance reviews.

  • Assist with the development, implementation, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Maintain HR metrics and prepare regular reports for management.

  • Organize training sessions and workshops to enhance employee engagement and development.

  • Partner with leadership on employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Proficiency in HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS, Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.


Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role.

  • Experience in remote or distributed work environments is preferred.

  • Proven experience in handling sensitive employee matters and managing HR processes end-to-end.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position: 40 hours per week.

  • Monday to Friday, flexible working hours with availability during core business hours (9 AM – 5 PM CST).

  • 100% remote – work from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
