Develop and implement engaging, technology-driven lesson plans that cater to a wide range of learning styles and abilities.

Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure academic success.
Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to develop and share best practices.

Prepare and submit regular reports on student progress, including performance assessments and other required documentation.

Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or related field.
Valid teaching certification in the state of Alaska (or ability to obtain).
Strong proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom to enhance teaching and learning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to manage a diverse classroom and handle classroom challenges with patience and professionalism.
Creative and innovative teaching methods that cater to a wide range of learning styles.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development.
At least 2 years of experience teaching elementary school students in a classroom setting (preferred).
Experience with digital education tools, online platforms, or blended learning environments is a plus.
Experience working with a diverse student body, particularly in rural or remote settings, is highly desirable.
Full-time position with a typical workday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Some evenings and weekends may be required for parent meetings, staff development, or extracurricular activities.
Flexibility in hours may be available to accommodate remote learning sessions, based on school requirements.
In-depth knowledge of elementary education curriculum and pedagogy.
Ability to use various educational technologies and software to support learning.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual student needs.
Knowledge of child development and the ability to apply this understanding in the classroom.
Strong classroom management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Cultural competency and an understanding of the unique challenges of teaching in rural or remote areas.
