Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Real Estate Development team in Winnipeg, MB. As a key member of our team, you will manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects, from inception to completion. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role demands a proactive, solution-oriented professional with strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage both internal teams and external contractors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Develop, implement, and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery. Coordinate with stakeholders, including developers, architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned.

  • Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, control expenses, and report on financial performance. Implement cost-effective solutions to address potential budget discrepancies or delays.

  • Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Regularly inspect and assess the quality of work to ensure it meets the required specifications.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the project team, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among all parties. Provide direction and mentorship to junior team members and subcontractors.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project schedule or budget and develop contingency plans to address them.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and meeting notes. Provide regular updates to senior management on project status.

  • Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations are met, addressing concerns, and maintaining positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, CCM) is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in real estate development.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.

  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and project scheduling software.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage teams.

  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and construction law.


Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in construction project management within the real estate development sector.

  • Experience working with diverse teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects successfully.

  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).

  • A track record of managing projects that meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position with core working hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

  • Flexibility in hours may be required based on project deadlines or site visits.
