The Elite Job is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated couple to join a serene and prestigious retreat center as a Caretaker and Housekeeper Team. This unique live-in opportunity is ideal for a trustworthy couple passionate about hospitality, nature, and maintaining a peaceful environment. The role combines property management, housekeeping, guest services, and general maintenance. The couple will play a vital role in upholding the retreats tranquil atmosphere and ensuring it remains a welcoming haven for guests.
Caretaker Responsibilities (Partner A):
Oversee the general maintenance and upkeep of the retreat grounds, buildings, and utilities.
Perform routine repairs, landscaping, gardening, and seasonal upkeep (e.g., snow removal, firewood preparation).
Coordinate with service providers and vendors as needed.
Maintain safety, security, and functionality of the property.
Support with guest arrivals and transportation assistance as necessary.
Housekeeper Responsibilities (Partner B):
Daily cleaning and sanitation of common areas, guest rooms, and amenities.
Laundry services including linens and towels.
Preparation of rooms before guest check-ins.
Inventory and restocking of supplies.
Occasional meal prep assistance for small groups or events.
Joint Responsibilities:
Provide a warm, hospitable presence for guests.
Assist with event preparation and coordination.
Manage check-ins and check-outs smoothly.
Act as on-site point of contact for emergencies.
Proven experience in housekeeping, facility management, or similar caretaking roles.
Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-first mindset.
Basic handyman skills and familiarity with tools and minor repairs.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Organizational and time management skills.
High attention to cleanliness and detail.
Comfortable with rural or off-grid settings.
Minimum 3 years of combined experience in hospitality, caretaking, property management, or similar roles.
Experience working together as a team is highly preferred.
Prior live-in or remote location experience is a plus.
Flexible hours based on retreat schedule and seasonal needs.
On-call availability required for emergencies.
Schedule may include weekends and holidays depending on guest activity.
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, gardening, and home maintenance systems.
Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism in a peaceful, private setting.
Physical ability to lift, carry, clean, and perform manual outdoor tasks.
Self-starters who thrive in quiet, independent settings.
Comfort with technology for basic communication, scheduling, and guest coordination.
