Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a motivated and skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely. In this role, you will be the first line of defense for our clients, providing expert technical support and maintaining the performance, availability, and security of cloud-based systems. You will troubleshoot complex issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver outstanding customer service to ensure client satisfaction.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will work with a variety of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, contributing to the success of digital transformations and cloud migrations for a diverse range of clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support for cloud infrastructure and services.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues related to cloud environments.

  • Monitor cloud systems for performance, security, and reliability.

  • Assist with cloud configuration, deployment, and maintenance tasks.

  • Work collaboratively with cloud architects, developers, and other engineers to solve client challenges.

  • Document solutions, best practices, and procedures for both internal use and customer knowledge bases.

  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineering teams as needed.

  • Maintain strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the support process.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and certifications.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

  • Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with command-line tools and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.


Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support, systems administration, or cloud operations role.

  • Experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure in a 24/7 production environment is preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud management tools, monitoring platforms, and incident response.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position: 40 hours per week.

  • Flexible working hours with core availability between 9 AM – 5 PM (based on your local time zone).

  • Some weekend or on-call availability may be required depending on client needs and support coverage.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platform environments and services.

  • Ability to analyze logs and system output to detect issues.

  • Familiarity with ITIL-based service management and ticketing systems.

  • Capable of adapting to new tools and technologies quickly.

  • A proactive approach to problem prevention and performance improvement.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
