Job Summary:

Cigna, a global health service company dedicated to improving the health, well-being, and peace of mind of those we serve, is seeking a passionate and experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our remote team. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, offering expert guidance on a broad spectrum of HR matters. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our people-first culture by ensuring alignment between HR strategies and business goals while promoting engagement, development, and organizational effectiveness across diverse teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related inquiries, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.

  • Partner with business leaders to support workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and organizational change initiatives.

  • Provide coaching and consultation on performance management, employee relations, and engagement strategies.

  • Manage employee life cycle processes including onboarding, development, and offboarding in collaboration with HR operations.

  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs by advocating for inclusive practices and fair treatment.

  • Assist with investigations and resolution of employee relations issues, maintaining appropriate documentation and confidentiality.

  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver strategic HR solutions including compensation, benefits, and learning and development.

  • Interpret and apply labor laws, compliance regulations, and internal policies to ensure risk mitigation.

  • Analyze HR metrics and provide actionable insights to improve employee experience and business outcomes.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance standards (FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.).

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in a corporate environment.

  • Experience in a remote work setting and across multi-state or global teams is highly desirable.

  • Prior experience working in healthcare, insurance, or a highly regulated industry is an asset.


Working Hours:

  • Full-time remote position.

  • Standard business hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (based on your local time zone).

  • Flexibility may be required to support multiple time zones or urgent HR matters.
