Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Offshore Rig Supervisor to lead the crew and oversee the daily operations on an offshore rig. Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and manage a team of rig crew members, ensuring their safety, well-being, and performance.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the offshore rig, ensuring efficient drilling and related activities.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols, procedures, and industry regulations are followed. Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.
  • Equipment Management: Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of all rig equipment, performing routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues, mechanical failures, or personnel challenges that may arise on the rig.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of crew activities, equipment status, operational performance, and safety protocols. Report any significant issues to management.
  • Training and Development: Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to crew members, fostering skill development and ensuring a high level of performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certification: Relevant offshore rig certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, OGUK medical, etc.).
  • Experience: Extensive experience in offshore drilling operations with a proven track record of leading rig crews.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team under demanding conditions.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of offshore drilling equipment, rig operations, and safety protocols.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve operational and equipment issues swiftly.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the team.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working on offshore rigs, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Prior experience with drilling operations, crew management, and safety compliance on offshore rigs is essential.
  • Experience working in remote and challenging environments with a strong focus on operational efficiency and safety standards.

Working Hours

  • This position requires long shifts (typically 12 hours), often in rotating patterns such as 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, depending on the companys schedule.
  • The role requires being on-site for extended periods, working in challenging offshore environments.
