Job Summary
The Elite Job is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Customer Contact Center (Student Loan Advisor) to join our remote team. As a Student Loan Advisor, you will provide exceptional customer service by assisting borrowers in managing their student loans, explaining repayment options, and guiding them through the loan management process. Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound and outbound calls from students, parents, and borrowers regarding student loans.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information on loan repayment options, deferment, forbearance, and forgiveness programs.
- Assist customers in understanding their loan terms, managing payments, and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Guide customers through the application processes for repayment plans or loan consolidations.
- Document and maintain detailed records of customer interactions, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry changes, new repayment programs, and legislative developments affecting student loans.
- Provide empathetic support and develop rapport with customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher preferred).
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a contact center or financial services environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of student loan programs or a willingness to learn.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a financial or loan advisory role.
- Experience with CRM systems and call center technologies is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time position.
- Flexible working hours with a focus on providing customer service across different time zones.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays if required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of federal and private student loan programs is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
