Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Student Counselor to join our team at The Elite Job. This remote position offers a dynamic role in guiding and assisting students who are seeking to study abroad. The Student Counselor will provide expert advice, support, and guidance on various study abroad opportunities, visa procedures, university applications, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of the study abroad process, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert counseling and guidance to students on study abroad options, including university selection, course selection, and location preferences.
• Assist students with the application process for universities and programs in different countries.
• Guide students through visa application processes, scholarship opportunities, and funding options.
• Help students prepare for interviews, application deadlines, and required documentation.
• Stay updated on global education trends and new opportunities available to students.
• Provide continuous support to students throughout their application process, including responding to queries and addressing concerns.
• Maintain records of student inquiries, applications, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with international universities and educational institutions to stay informed about changes in admission policies, course offerings, and scholarships.
• Develop and deliver informative seminars and webinars on studying abroad.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education, Counseling, or related field.
• Proven experience as a student counselor, educational consultant, or in a similar role in the study abroad or education sector.
• Knowledge of the study abroad process, including university admissions, visa applications, and scholarships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in using office software and student management systems.
• Empathy, patience, and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of multiple languages is an advantage, especially English, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in counseling students for study abroad programs.
• Previous experience working in a consultancy or education agency is preferred.
• Experience in handling visa procedures, university applications, and scholarship opportunities is a must.
• Familiarity with multiple study abroad destinations and their respective processes.

Working Hours:

• Flexible working hours to accommodate students from different time zones.
• Ability to work 35-40 hours per week, depending on the level of student engagement.
• Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required during peak application seasons.

• In-depth knowledge of international education systems and study abroad processes.
• Strong counseling, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage a large volume of student inquiries.

• Technologically adept and comfortable using various software tools.
