Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Verify patient insurance information and process billing claims.
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Ensure that claims are processed in a timely manner to facilitate quick reimbursement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and coding guidelines.
• Work with electronic health record (EHR) systems to enter and update patient data.
• Assist in reviewing and ensuring that insurance claims meet payer guidelines and requirements.
• Provide support in administrative tasks related to medical billing and coding.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree in Health Information Technology or related field preferred).
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and medical billing software.

Experience:

• No prior experience is required; however, any experience in a healthcare setting or related administrative roles will be a plus.
• Completion of a medical billing and coding certification course or equivalent coursework is preferred.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
• Standard working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (flexible working hours may be available depending on the role and location).

• Knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures.
• Understanding of healthcare insurance processes and terminology.
• Familiarity with healthcare privacy laws, such as HIPAA.
