Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of recycling projects from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project feasibility, define objectives, and develop detailed project plans.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential recycling opportunities and challenges.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards throughout all project phases.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance recycling operations and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and training to operational staff regarding new recycling technologies and processes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, regulatory agencies, and community organizations.
  • Stay current on industry trends and innovations in recycling technology and waste management practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and project management tools (MS Project, Trello, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within the recycling or waste management sector.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery within time and budget constraints.

Working Hours

  • This is a full-time position with flexible working hours. Expect occasional travel to project sites and client meetings, requiring availability outside standard business hours.
