Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Collaborate with other team members to streamline processes and improve financial reporting.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to clients based on analysis of financial data.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a contractor or part-time capacity.
  • Experience with financial reporting and compliance is essential.
  • Familiarity with various accounting practices across different industries is a plus.

Working Hours

  • This is a part-time contract position with flexible working hours.
  • Expectation to work approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours during peak periods.
