Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mining Engineer - Ops Excellence to lead our mining operations optimization efforts. Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to optimize mining operations, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence. Provide leadership to engineering teams and collaborate with senior management to align operational goals with company objectives.
• Process Optimization: Analyze current mining processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maximize resource utilization. Employ advanced engineering techniques and technologies to achieve these goals.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all mining operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices. Promote a culture of safety and proactively address potential hazards.
• Project Management: Oversee major mining projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Coordinate with project teams, manage budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
• Innovation and Technology: Stay abreast of technological advancements in the mining industry and integrate relevant innovations into operational practices. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, contractors, and community representatives. Address concerns and ensure transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed reports on operational performance, project status, and optimization initiatives. Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer) is preferred.
• Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of mining engineering principles, practices, and technologies. Proficiency in mining software and tools.

Working Hours
