Job Summary:
Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to the business by working closely with leadership and employees to ensure a positive work environment and the effective implementation of HR programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations, employee relations, and talent management, with the ability to handle complex HR issues in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to management and employees, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Partner with leadership to implement talent development initiatives and succession planning.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving organizational efficiency and employee engagement.
- Provide support on employee relations issues, conducting investigations, and resolving conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and internal HR policies.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide actionable insights to improve workforce effectiveness and productivity.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the organization.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Foster a positive company culture by promoting Amazons values and leadership principles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
- Proven ability to handle complex employee relations issues with discretion and sensitivity.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a remote work environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead HR generalist role.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company, preferably in the tech or e-commerce industry.
- Previous experience supporting remote teams is highly preferred.
- Experience with HR metrics and data analysis to drive HR decision-making.
Working Hours:
- This is a remote position with flexible working hours, but candidates should be available for regular meetings during Amazons core business hours (Pacific Time Zone).
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to accommodate global teams.
