Key Responsibilities:

  • Listen to recorded dictations from healthcare professionals and transcribe them into written format.
  • Edit and proofread transcriptions to ensure accuracy, grammar, and consistency with medical terminology.
  • Format documents according to the required standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify or obtain additional information as needed.
  • Ensure timely delivery of transcribed documents to relevant departments or individuals.
  • Stay updated with advances in medical terminology and transcription practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or similar role in a medical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and procedures.
  • Excellent listening, typing, and editing skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using transcription software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical transcription is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical transcription or a related field.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is highly desirable.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position with standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Flexibility in working hours may be considered based on operational needs.

  • Proficiency in transcription software and general office applications.
