Job Summary:
American Airlines is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Specialist in IT Inventory Support to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management and accurate tracking of our IT inventory within our warehouse operations. The Specialist will be responsible for overseeing inventory processes, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring that our IT assets are effectively monitored and managed to support the companys operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate records of IT inventory, including hardware, software, and accessories.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of IT equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate with IT and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate distribution of inventory to various departments.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to verify inventory levels and address discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, usage trends, and forecasting needs.
- Provide support for IT asset tracking and lifecycle management, including disposal and recycling of outdated equipment.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to manage orders and resolve any issues related to inventory.
- Assist in developing and optimizing warehouse workflows to improve overall productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably within an IT or warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with IT asset management and lifecycle processes.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management or a related role, with a focus on IT equipment preferred.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and IT asset tracking solutions.
- Previous experience working in a large-scale corporate environment is advantageous.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position.
- Standard working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime required based on operational needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of IT hardware and software components.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Skilled in data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
