Job Title: Officer Procurement

Job Summary: As an Officer Procurement at Eskom, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services essential to our operations. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers to secure high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  2. Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to optimize value.
  3. Manage procurement processes, including requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  5. Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry regulations to identify opportunities and risks.
  6. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in compliance with policies and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
  3. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  5. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office suite.
  6. Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.

Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.

Working Hours:Standard business hours with flexibility as needed to meet deadlines or accommodate meetings with suppliers in different time zones.
