Amazon is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-oriented Operations Manager to lead and drive performance across our fast-paced logistics operations in Brazil. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day fulfillment and delivery operations while developing and implementing strategies to improve performance, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will lead large teams, work closely with cross-functional partners, and drive Amazons mission of being Earths most customer-centric company.
Oversee daily operations at one or more Amazon Logistics sites to ensure efficient order fulfillment and last-mile delivery performance.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area Managers and Supervisors, driving operational excellence through coaching, development, and performance management.
Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and Amazon policies across all levels of the operation.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data trends, and develop action plans to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
Collaborate with planning and support teams to manage labor and resource planning to meet volume forecasts.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operation, focusing on process optimization, waste reduction, and employee engagement.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
Act as a point of contact for escalation and problem resolution during critical incidents.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
Proficiency in data-driven decision-making with strong analytical skills.
Fluent in Portuguese; working knowledge of English required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience managing large teams and frontline leaders.
Proven experience implementing process improvements and managing cross-functional projects.
Experience working in an e-commerce or logistics environment is highly desirable.
Full-time, 44 hours per week.
Flexibility required for shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Ability to work in a 24/7 environment depending on business needs.
Deep understanding of supply chain and logistics concepts.
Strong leadership capabilities with an emphasis on team development and operational discipline.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities effectively.
Skilled in the use of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with SQL or other data tools is a plus.
Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies is a strong advantage.
