Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a skilled Crane Driver to join our dynamic team for an exciting construction project in Coimbatore. As a Crane Driver, you will be responsible for operating cranes and other heavy machinery to facilitate the lifting, lowering, and movement of materials on the construction site. The ideal candidate will be committed to safety, possess excellent operational knowledge, and contribute to the successful completion of the project on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and other heavy equipment to move materials as per project requirements.
• Inspect cranes and ensure they are in proper working condition before use.
• Follow safety protocols and conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery.
• Coordinate with construction site supervisors and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Ensure the safe and precise movement of materials to designated locations.
• Maintain logs of operations and record machinery maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all environmental and safety regulations on-site.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
• Assist in lifting and positioning equipment and materials for the construction process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Crane Driver or heavy equipment operator.
• Valid crane operating license or certification (as per local regulations).
• In-depth knowledge of crane operations, safety practices, and construction processes.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments while adhering to safety protocols.
• Basic mechanical skills for routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and diagrams.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating cranes or other heavy machinery in a construction setting.
• Previous experience in large-scale construction projects is preferred.
• Experience with various types of cranes (mobile, tower, etc.) is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.
• Standard working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.
• Occasional overtime may be required depending on project needs.

• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of crane operations, load limits, and the mechanics of cranes.
