Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Well Service Technician to join our dynamic team at Oil Rig Jobs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing well maintenance and repair services on offshore oil rigs. As a Well Service Technician, you will work on a variety of critical well-maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of oil wells. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency well servicing operations, including the maintenance and repair of wellheads, tubing, and other oil field equipment.
• Conduct pressure testing, stimulation, and other well interventions to maintain and enhance well production.
• Install and remove well completion equipment, such as packers, plugs, and downhole tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.
• Monitor equipment performance and work closely with engineers to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Assist in the preparation of equipment and materials for daily operations, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment on the rig.
• Provide detailed reports on the progress and completion of service activities.
• Support the training and mentoring of junior technicians to promote team development and ensure operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications related to well servicing, oilfield operations, or mechanical engineering are preferred.
• Proven experience in oilfield operations, particularly in well maintenance, servicing, or a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with oilfield equipment, including pumps, valves, and pressure control systems.
• In-depth understanding of well servicing operations, including well intervention, fluid management, and completion operations.
• Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools, monitoring systems, and standard oilfield machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and operational manuals.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, as well as adapt to offshore conditions.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in oilfield well servicing or a similar technical role.
• Experience in offshore rig operations or working on oil platforms is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in performing well maintenance activities and understanding safety protocols in challenging environments.

Working Hours:

• Rotational shift work (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off).
• Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on operational requirements.
• On-call availability for emergency well services as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in working with oilfield maintenance tools and equipment, including pumps, blowout preventers, and wellhead systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to implement safe work practices on oil rigs.
• Ability to perform complex troubleshooting tasks and provide timely solutions.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in harsh environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures, high winds, and confined spaces.
• Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with crew members and supervisors.
